DEVON MEDDOCK is a singer, actor, and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City who has performed and music directed at New World Stages, plays trumpet with the Joe Iconis Family Band, headlines with the Florida Orchestra, and teaches and coaches Musical Theatre and Contemporary Voice at NYU, where she also directs various shows. She can frequently be found gigging with her husband, Gerard Canonico, at 54 Below while the dogs sadly sit at home alone, mourning our absence.
Devon holds a Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance/Music Theatre and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from New York University’s Steinhardt School. She worked extensively with Joe Church, Broadway pit musician John Rojak, Kristen Ruiz, Michael Ricciardone, Grammy award-winning composer/lyricist Herschel Garfein, Tony-nominated Meg Bussert, and many other master artists from Broadway and the Metropolitan Opera. Previously, she studied with Louisa Jonason at Mercyhurst University, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music with minors in Theatre and English.
