DEVON MEDDOCK holds a Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance/Music Theatre and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from New York University’s Steinhardt School. She worked extensively with William Wesbrooks, Kristen Ruiz, Michael Ricciardone, Grammy award-winning composer/lyricist Herschel Garfein, Tony-nominated Meg Bussert, and many other master artists from Broadway and the Metropolitan Opera. Previously, she studied with Louisa Jonason at Mercyhurst University, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Music with minors in Theatre and English.

Possessing excellent musicianship, Devon played the trumpet in NYU’s brass choir under the direction of Broadway trombonist John Rojak and doubled as a performer-musician in Gypsy at the Secret Theatre. Devon continually flexes her muscles as both a vocalist, instrumentalist, and piano accompanist. When not performing, she serves as an Adjunct Professor of Voice at NYU.

Devon enjoys exploring her expansive range and many vocal styles, from belting to coloratura soprano, at landmark venues in NYC. She has performed comedic cabaret at the Duplex and both classical and musical theatre at the historic Frederick Loewe Theatre and Provincetown Theatre.

Devon is currently the Soprano for the musical comedy hit, THE IMBIBLE, now playing at New World Stages in midtown Manhattan. Feel free to contact her regarding performance and coaching inquiries…or just to hear her take on contemporary Broadway's favorite blonde diva, Glinda!
