DEVON MEDDOCK is a New York City–based actor, singer, and trumpet player whose work spans Broadway, concert stages, recording studios, and new musical development. Known for her distinctive musicality and versatility, Devon moves seamlessly between performance, session work, and creative collaboration.

 

Performance credits closest to her heart include leading the company of THE IMBIBLE at New World Stages, regularly performing as the featured vocalist for the Florida Orchestra, and singing and playing trumpet with the acclaimed Joe Iconis Family Band.

 

Equally at home onstage and in the studio, Devon is an experienced session vocalist and musician with a passion for developing new musical theatre. Most recently, she portrayed TJ in the pre-Broadway musical workshop and concert of BIG FAMOUS, based on the life and crimes of the Polka King, Jan Lewan.

 

Devon is a faculty member at New York University’s Steinhardt School, where she teaches Musical Theatre and Contemporary Voice, coaches actors, and directs productions ranging from collaborations with Alan Menken to senior showcases. She also maintains a private voice studio with a roster of highly successful professional singers and performers.

 

She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance: Music Theatre and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from NYU. Her training includes extensive study with Dr. Joe Church, Broadway pit musician John Rojak, Dianna Heldman, Michael Ricciardone, Grammy Award-winning composer and lyricist Herschel Garfein, Tony-nominated Meg Bussert, Dr. Brett Johnson, and Louisa Jonason.

 

Devon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music: Classical Voice, with minors in Theatre, English, and Physics, and secondary instruments in trumpet and piano from Mercyhurst University.

 

She is a sarcoma survivor, cancer advocate, doting dog mom to her PERFECT hound, historical graves preserver, and reigning champion of the petty and meaningless NYU biannual steps challenge.
